Having celebrated Thanksgiving and reflecting on gratefulness we look out again at a world that is torn apart and in pain. So much separation and judgment being brought to boil and no sight of reprieve from it’s negative effect on all our lives.
During a homily this morning a retired minister who has a way with words, that is much more poetic than preaching, pierced my heart with this phrase about his vision.
“the crocuses of the Spring of Enlightenment” – Jim Gambril
Since I do not practice the art of negativity, even while in the midst of chaos, I could not let these words slip away.
Let us all align with this beautiful message to carry us through the dark winter of humanity. We are a species of Being that is so resilient that no matter how severe life appears, we are always on the verge of a Spring of Enlightenment.
My heart to yours

O, friend! Nobody veils you, but yourself.
In your path there is no thorn or weed, but yourself.
You asked: shall I reach the beloved or not?
Between you and the beloved there is nobody, but yourself.
– Awhadoddin Kermani

From sandy beaches
Visions of Hope
arise within the sound
of the thunderous waves
of our daily lives

As I go through years of postings on facebook and deleting a trail of broken links and remarks which no longer are valid reflections what I want to leave behind, I find bits of treasure.
Perhaps the pirate in me has buried these to return and find, remembering moments of lucidity which are suitable also for today.
Enjoy my treasure hunting and from the vaults of my photos I married the words with this joyous picture of a beach in Bermuda.

The threshold of our day
is not seen as black and white
it is always radiantly beaming
in rays of golden welcome
Yet when we take away
the all that glorious diffusion
we embrace the striking reality
behind Light’s illumination

Beyond the Setting
In less than a few minutes
the glory of a Sunset
captures our hearts forever
We hold that flash of Light
in our hearts and mind
in gratitude for its beauty
We walk away filled with awe
with a sense of our place
among the wonders of creation
Only to become drawn back
into the world of the ordinary
and that moment is no longer
Yet we live beyond the setting
our hearts are never
not that moment
We have just forgotten
Allowing ourselves to become
the shadows of the night
awaiting the light to return
Let Us not forget
We are the Light
which always shines
To dispel the darkness

When we come to the place within our hearts,
that never loses sight of all that we can be,
then we will know the power of love. ~ crb

We are but the seeds of Love
awakening in time
constantly seeking
the Light which nourishes us
The darkness of our germination
Now coming to an end
We reach out to the pollinators
that we may blossom and flourish
bringing forth Peace and Love

Sometimes the words are so deep within us that it is difficult to allow them to flow.
When that happens send Love…
Today is another difficult day to put behind us.
There is not any rational human who is not feeling a sense of loss.
May all which are witnessing this horror personally be loved
May all who are suffering find a place within themselves that is peaceful
May each of you who read my teary eyed words open your hearts
Send Peace, Light and Love
to all that cannot bear anymore
We are all so very precious
May each of you know that I Am with you in your pain
