Eternally Speaking

Now -Janie Sweeney
A friend took a most wonderful picture of the morning light at York Beach the other day and posted it to facebook. As you can see it is an amazing one taken on her iphone… It moved me in such a way as to save and enhance it a bit for my desktop wallpaper.

Well I happened to find a verse from the Course In Miracles that captured for me the essence of my attraction to that precious moment and I married them together… then as I lapsed into my musing mind the words began to flow…

How do i explain
the concept of now
as eternity
Perhaps
that is where
I go wrong
in the first place
Eternity
is more than a concept
it is always occurring
So therefore
I never get beyond now
except when trying
to define it
Then i leave eternity
and become part
of the concept instead

Roadblocks and Detours

Roadblocks are Blessings
when taken as messages
from our Highest Self

and

Detours give us Vision
to clarify Our Alignment

when

We have become
deaf and blind
to the call of
Our Open Heart

Soft Parade

Tenderly we arise
And face the day

In quiet reflection

Through many dreams
We have traveled

Now in silence

All that has ever been
Softly parades by

Our past now dim

And only the Light
Of today remains

Welcome to the Doorway

In the midst of our dream
the doorway opens
we are shuffled through
and rearranged
in a peculiar fashion
there we can shed the Light
that no longer serves
and regenerate new harmonics

Rising in Love

2014_10_13_Awakening

This morning as I was reflecting in gratitude, the words ‘Rising in Love’ sent me in search of the lyrics for the song, Awakening by Miten and Deva Premal.

I knew they would be a perfect match for yesterday’s Pink Rose taken in soft hazy light… so please enjoy as a token of my gratitude to each of you for Rising in Love along with me.

Miten And Deva Premal lyrics

We are awakening
To the calling of the mystic we
Are awakening
In the flowering of the heart
Everybody here melting into
Presence, overflowing
Effervescence
Rising in love
Om Shanti
Satchidananda om
Shanti Om
We are awakening
To a long forgotten memory
Dawn is breaking
Waves are coming in
Everybody here
Standing in wonder
Beneath the rain and the thunder
Rising in love
We are awakening
To this perfect imperfection
Celebrating in the oneness of it all
Everybody here
Part of each other
Sister and brother
Rising in love

Of Asters and Beach Plums

Soft sea breeze
full on face
Sunshine warming
from behind

Delightful Fall Sunday

Tourists now
have had their fill
and the locals
return to the shore

Surfers ride waves
without restraint

Asters and Beach Plums shine!

Mondays

Perhaps this day
more than others
signifies our willingness
to participate in life

Arising to the morning light
we are filled with emotion
perhaps it is excitement
or could it be foreboding

Each one a bit different
yet all markers of time
and our energetic patterns
that escape our daiy vision

Building upon one another
in an unpredictable pattern
our movements through
time and space

Soon the Leaves Will Fall

Breezes swiftly flowing
across an Autumn field

The maple tree is glowing
before her leaves are gone

Withrawing now into the earth
her majestic presence reigns

And fills our hearts with memories
of a Summer which now has passed
