Heartbeats become seconds
Minutes pass into hours
another day adds to the journey
that our Hearts have traveled

We are at the point we call a Year
both the end and the beginning
reflecting shadows and shining brightly
still the heartbeats are but seconds

Those constant companions of life
which have no concept of day or night
of Winter or Summer, Weeks or Months
yet with each pulsing moment mark time

Beyond the Heart Chamber walls
everything becomes sent to the mind
which places a label and energetic signature
upon all experiences and responses

There they come to life through creation
the gathering and connecting of moments
through which the heartbeat paced itself
without much notice or any real bother

I say to you Happy New Heart not Happy New Year

May your Heart radiate throughout all you may think
bringing forth your gratitude for every moment
each one building on the next and sending you forth
to respond with kindness and compassion in your New Year

spirit into man

Oh how marvelous
said Spirit to the Man
I will dwell within you
and as a symbol
I will leave you fossils
filled with crystals
therefore you will not forget

I will descend in a spiral
and you will emulate it
with every complete turn
your life will unfold
until there is no separation

you will be my reflection
and even our shadow will dance
upon the surface of the world

Agamenticus – York River Blessing

These pictures were taken the day after Christmas with a Full Moon and temperatures in the 60’s.
Not the usual look for this amazing river at this time of year.

Although small in comparison to rivers around the world and considered by some to be a mere stream it is the source of life for so many species who migrate or live year round within its wetlands.
Today I blessed the river with two quartz crystals for continued protection and to raise the awareness of our river waters around the world.
The photos were taken from my neighbor’s yard across the street with whom I had the privilege of performing a Golden Light Dowsing on her property a month ago.

2015_12_26_0955_cRb
“The Abenaki name for the York River was Agamenticus, which means Beyond-the-hill-little-cove”
2015_12_26_0958_cRb
“The river’s tidal salt marshes represent a significant habitat in Maine, especially for migratory shorebirds. The watershed includes approximately 406 acres of tidal marsh (according to a report by the York County Soil & Water Conservation District, 1996).”

2015_12_26_0957_cRb
The tidal portion of river is approximately 8 miles long and disappears into the marshes which surround it.. The tidal fluctuation can be more than 10 feet with very shallow parts at low tide which are not navigable except by kayak or canoe. The main body being seawater from the ocean which rarely freezes except during long and deep temperature drops during the Winter.

2015_12_26_0959_cRb

This photo is approximately across from my home and although I’m not on the shoreline itself I can walk to it everyday and embrace it’s unspoiled beauty either on foot or kayak.

Tad Baker, a York resident who teaches history at Salem State University in Massachusetts. “It’s one of the most historic rivers in Maine,” he said. “The river was the original transportation network in prehistoric and Colonial Maine. As you go along the York River today, you’re going past sites that go back hundreds and sometimes thousands of years.”

Baker said the area around the river has been inhabited for at least 5,000 years. English settlers moved to the area in 1624. Ten years later, the first tidal-powered grist mill in the country – and perhaps North America – was built on the York River, he said.

A Christmas Eve Miracle

Christmas Eve 2015

As I sit here on Christmas Eve it is always a moment when I reflect on a miracle in my life.

Many do not believe that Jesus is real or is the Son of God, nor that miracles happen such as the virgin birth. I know many of us are not sure if the birth of Jesus really occurred on December 25th yet that is when we celebrate it. All our trying to figure it out is really quite fruitless and truly an argument within ourselves.

This character Jesus, the Savior born in Bethlehem, be He a fable or a truth has assisted humanity in some way for over 2000 years.

My story is about Christmas Eve in 1991.

The quick version is that I was an alcoholic who had a Near Death Experience and still refused to stop drinking 2 months afterwards.

I had been invited back into the family of the woman I loved, to share in her Christmas Holiday. As I was still drinking, of course the evening progressed to a quarrel with one of her sons.

I got up to leave and aroused everyone in the household including her 80 year old mother who was now in the midst of this chaos, of not letting me leave and drive drunk to my apartment some 2 states away.

So as I was surrendering to their pleas, more hurt about failing them rather than myself, I remember crying out to Jesus. Whether out loud or in my head I can’t say for sure but the prayer or plea was as follows.

“Jesus this is your birthday and if you are real please take this alcoholism away from me! If you can’t, then take me out of this world for good because I can’t do it any more.”

I went back up the stairs, went to bed and passed out… another drunken Christmas Eve and the one I loved broken-hearted again.

Well now that my public confession is over the real story begins.
I have not had a drink of alcohol ever since. No hard cravings, some physical withdrawal but not enough to cry about. A miracle that has now lasted 24 years tonight.

So my friends never underestimate what you can’t verify by scientific or logical deduction. Always leave the door open, for you never know when you might need a miracle from this being called Jesus.

As for me I Believe… Merry Christmas

Xmas 2015

As we share the energy of this day of reflection…
Let us have welcoming hearts
Let us be thoughtful and kind
Let us be Peace, Light and Love

May each of you rekindle the fire
by which we have all sat
in joyous communion with each other
without judgment or disparity

Let us unite and remember
who we truly are.

Tatami

From the fields in which we toil
or pass by without a second thought
there arise exceedingly strong grasses

Able to withstand high wind and rains
from which we seek shelter inside
yet upon entering we find them again

Those which are now beneath our feet
remind us of service in its many forms
and we take off our shoes in respect

They now reflect our outer world
woven over time by intention and skill
being transformed to grace us
with comfort and respite

And now in gratitude
I bow to you
sweet grasses of the world
for your service and your strength

Synergy Happens

Butterfly 7.20.15
Don’t know if I have lost myself
or found myself.
I must be somewhere in between
shadow and illusion,
and the Real and Unseen.
-Linda Mottet

First, I wish a Happy Solstice to each of you.

Many times we are just in the moment and everything just flows without our really exercising much thinking… anything can happen.
Synergy is the effect of two or more, in this case Humans, interacting and creating through synchronous cooperation “a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effect”. (dictionary.com)

This morning I answered a challenge on facebook to post one of my favorite nature photographs for 7 days. Normally I don’t do this but since I love to take photos of nature and being an amateur I felt comfortable in committing myself to the challenge.

I posted the picture of this butterfly and a friend Linda Mottet replied that she thought it was beautiful. Well, her book of poetry, “What Dragonfly Knows” sits on my desk and I often pick it up and randomly read her words with much delight.

Her words above resonated with me and brought a new dimension to the picture which delighted both of us.
Then in the delight of her response I wrote…

Hearts a fluttering
Synchronistic thought patterns
Miracles abound

So as we embrace each other, whether in cyberspace or the world we call reality…
May we always stay open to those moments
which the Sun standing still
allows us to reflect on.
The Light shining
into the open chambers of our hearts
encouraging us to be
all that we can possibly be
And allow Synergy to happen.

Fabulous

When we are asked to describe ourselves and our purpose here, there is always a moment of disconnect. A place we find that is filled with uncertainty and of doubtfulness.

Yet it is a question that many of us never have to answer in public, to an audience which you may never meet, yet will take your answer and reflect it upon themselves. Somehow they will be seeking their own meaning which may not be anything like the one they just heard.

I will be re-introduced tomorrow to an Internet Radio Audience on which I have appeared several times over the past year or so. The world has heard me speak much as I write as Charlie Riverman Bergeron, an Earth Angel.

I found these words I wrote some time ago and a picture of flowers in community at various stages of their existence, much like us.
Can you begin to imagine yourselves as Earth Angels or is that too far from your perception of being realistic.

Each of us are unique…

Just beginning to open
Young and beautiful
Older and a bit tattered

Let’s rewrite
the meanings of our words
to encompass and reflect
who we truly are

Fabulous =

The Edge of Transformation

Bunny's Pond

This morning I was reminded of how each of us are always flirting with the edge of the unknown as we move through these tenuous timelines of our evolution. Running up to it and looking to see if our fears are justified and withdrawing not quite ready to leap…

Yes… come to the edge
for the transformation
begins here
let go of all the fears
for they
are what make you fall

As I thought of finding a picture to express this I was reminded of this one taken by a woman whose young daughter was taking her last breaths and this was a quiet pond at the hospital.

My words then are perhaps applicable too …

drifting slowly
through the reflected vision
each and every moment
precious to behold
two worlds revealed
could there be more
yes dear child
as many as the shapes
and patterns before your eyes
each one a lovingly
part of the other
wherein if we let go
we become another

(Thank you Bunny and SB for allowing my heart to resonate with yours if only for a short while.)
