what is it
about the change of the seasons
is it the warm sun
shining on your back
is it the breezes
in your face
can it be the changing sky
that makes you turn inward
and be thankful

the wind whispers change
change is growth
take a deep breath
and inhale
the freedom
never changing
never resting
how beautiful it is
to be alive

There are times when I write and just don’t have an idea that seems to be fitting to showcase the words; when this occurs I usually place them in a folder named Musings or Unfinished Work. They become a part of a collection that doesn’t get read or seen and so their energy is not dispersed, the seeds that are left on the shelf.
This verse is an example which has now been transformed by Jennifer Ravsten who started a Facebook page ~ஐ~Artworks~ஐ~….The purpose and hope of this page is to promote all artistic forms, to feature artists and give them a place to discuss their individual talents. We want only original music, art, writing, video and any other creative medium available to shine on this page. It is for Creative Minds At Work!
I have created many times in response to another poet’s work and or taken pictures, artwork, or videos and placed with my own as inspirations which work both ways. This is the first time where it has been an intentional collaboration and I am looking forward to more.

when we know it is our time to leave
we will give back all that we have been given
and return to our original presence
knowing that we have been in the garden

and as I usually do before I write my musings I humbly ask for those who want to speak through me to guide me in my writings.I placed my fingers on the keyboard and started to type out the beginning of a verse and my fingers were soon deleting what I had written and the above message was typed just as it appears, no editing, no misspelling, no hesitation or pausing to think about it.
Thank You Charlie, glad you made it home!

As a Reiki Master I am very familiar with the daily meditation on the Reiki Principles and the importance of establishing ground rules for daily practice by our intentions.
While sharing on a facebook group I belong to, SHINING AND INFUSING OUR LIGHT AND LOVE, there was a posting which read as follows:
“You can’t control everything and have a smooth life. You can control some things, so what can you let go of to let life flow TO YOU? How can you surrender? When will you give-up on chasing the things you want in your life? Are you willing to stop chasing them away? What can you do to get yourself ready to let it start coming TO YOU?” ~ KC
As it caught my attention and I began reading the loving responses, I was compelled to add my own to the growing list. The responses continued and I could see how the power of the words we were using called me to extract them from the sentences and showcase them in their full glory.
I was reminded of the power of affirmation and the message of Just for Today, and so I began to write.
