This morning as I read my blogs and article feeds from so many amazing sources, I was noticing a common thread about “Choosing and the Past”.
The photograph above is of a maple tree in my yard just after a thunderstorm passed and the sun was embracing the raindrops on her leaves.
I was looking for a rainbow which never appeared, yet I still felt the thankfulness that the storm had brought us some much needed rain, as well as the enthusiasm to embrace the freshly charged air and newness that a clearing storm can bring.
Here in the order of their presentation to me are the quotes which inspired and to which I add my own…
“You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment.” – Henry David Thoreau
“First-hand experience is living from our true self, where you direct your life from within, and find love, beauty, and joy in every experience you have.” – Deepak Chopra
“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.”
– Carl Jung
“Choice is the ability to move through all perceptions of the past so as to become new once again in the now.” – Charlie Riverman Bergeron
Have a Blessed Day and Choose Wisely
Nice one, Charlie. Of all the quotes you wrote here, yours is my favorite! You have a blessed weekend too.
Peace
Mary
